personality:
 Very much a kindred spirit. Once you meet her, you'll probably never forget the quirky eccentric young woman. She is an honest (and incredibly blunt) person, who will often makes things awkward during certain circumstances. Naturally curious, she adores the outdoors and the natural world, often seen walking through the woods, muttering to herself. A lot about her is a mysterious, as she has a distant and dreamy way about herself, often speaking in riddles and any ridiculousness which pops into her head. She has a terrible habit of talking to herself, and often changes the subject of conversation if she finds it boring. Many prefer to stay clear of the 'Ditsy' girl  who they deemed 'strange' since many couldn't really understand her, yet she remains unphased by such treatment and doesn't care what people think of her. Her unique qualities and beliefs (she believes in all sorts of fairy tales and myths) makes her a very accepting and gentle person. 
In a strange way, she is also quite innocent to the reality of the world outside of the hotel. Since she has lived among the residence and creatures in the hotel, she doesn't really know how to act 'normal' in front of the hotels customers, which often lands her in a lot of trouble.

biography:
Darcy is the eldest of the Countess' 'children, and has lived in the Hotel since her mother bought it. She is not allowed to leave, and so spends her days working in the hotel as 'House Keeping'. Although the countess is her mother, she doesn't have that kind of relationship with her. Instead, she sees Iris as more of a mother figure, since she looked after her for all the years since she was in the hotel, while her mother went about her escapades. Not to say she doesn't have a relationship with the countess, who she is extremely loyal towards, but it is more complicated due to their long history.

Darcy is also the sister of her countess' children, who she also harbours a difficult relationship with. It is more about respect between them, but is protective of her siblings. She also gets along well with Liz Taylor, being the only second human to accept what she was except for Iris. The two work together, and like to observe the drama which happens in their hotel. Darcy, like the countess, is a being who is cursed with the 'blood sickness', needing to drink the blood from her prey. Unlike her mother, Darcy at first doesn't want to hurt anyone, but as more and more people come into the hotel, and she is forced to feed. She finds it hard to control the sick addiction.
